Check Pot Size
Select a pot that is one or two sizes larger than the original. Clean the new pot with disinfectant.
Soak Root Ball
Put the plant in a bucket of water. The roots will draw up water through the drainage hole.
Loosen Roots
Remove the plant from the pot and gently tease out roots that are packed tightly around the edges.
Repot
Place plant in the new pot. Infill with the same type of potting mix as before, and plant at the same depth.
